3. Newsletter (Mailchimp)

The distribution of the newsletter is carried out by the mailing service provider “MailChimp”, a newsletter mailing platform operated by the US provider Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a MailChimp is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and as a result provides a guarantee that the European level of data protection will be complied with. The mailing service provider is used on the basis of our legitimate interest in accordance with article 6 para. 1.f GDPR and a contract to process orders in accordance with article 6 para. 3 page 1 GDPR.
The mailing service provider may use the recipient’s data in pseudonym form, i.e. without reference to a user, in order to optimise or improve use of its own services, e.g. for the purpose of the technical optimisation of distribution and presentation of the newsletter or for statistical purposes. The mailing service provider does not however use the data of the recipients of our newsletter in order to write to these recipients itself or to forward the data to third parties.

4. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a website analysis service provided by Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Our website uses “Google-Adwords” cookies, a function of the web analysis service Google LLC (“Google”), 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, in order to be able to show you online advertising from the relevant platforms within the Google advertising network, also at a later point in time, as part of remarketing purposes. These relate to long-term cookies that can be stored for a maximum of six months.

8. Legal basis for the processin

The legal basis for processing your personal data is our predominant legitimate interest (in accordance with article 6 para. 1.f of the EU General Data Protection Regulation), which aims to achieve the purposes referred to under point 7.

We will transmit your personal data to the following recipients for the purposes referred to above:

• the companies referred to in points 3 to 6 as described;
Under certain circumstances, some of the recipients referred to above may be located or may process the data outside your own country. The level of data protection in other countries may not correspond with that in your own country. We only transmit your personal data to countries however, with regard to which the EU Commission has decided that they have an adequate level of data protection or we impose measures which ensure that all recipients have an adequate degree of data protection. 10. Length of time the data is stored

We only process and store your personal data for as long as this is necessary in order to achieve the purpose of storage or for as long as this has been stipulated in guidelines and regulations issued by the EU or in laws and regulations passed by some other legislative authority.
Should the purpose of storage no longer apply or should the retention period expire that stipulated in guidelines and regulations issued by the EU or in laws and regulations passed by some other legislative authority, the personal data will as a matter of routine be blocked or erased in accordance with the provisions of the law.
As a matter of principle, we store your data for a period of three months. Data is only stored for a longer period of time should this be required in order to investigate identified attacks on our website. Should you register on our website, we will however store your data for as long as your account exists and thereafter only for as long as such storage is stipulated by law.

11. Your rights in connection with personal data

Amongst other things, you are entitled (subject to the conditions of the applicable law) (i) to verify whether and which personal data on you we have stored and to obtain copies of this data, (ii) to demand that data which is incorrect or not compliant with the law should be corrected, complemented or erased, (iii) to demand that we restrict the processing of your personal data and (iv) under certain circumstances to object to the processing of your personal data or to revoke consent to the processing previously given, (v) to demand data portability, (vi) to learn the identity of third parties to whom your personal data is transmitted and (vii) to submit a complaint to the responsible authority.
